Our expectations for this trip were very high because the Faroe Islands is a place we have known about for some time. We visited Scotland and knew that the Faroe Islands were close to Scotland, We visited Scotland and knew that the Faroe Islands were close to Scotland,
and when we learned about the direct flights from Spain, and when we learned about the direct flights from Spain, things got even easier, being able to fly directly from your country without making tons of layovers. My favourite thing that we have done was the helicopter tour. We could see all the cliffs and waterfalls, up-close and from above. It made me feel like I was in Jurassic Park! You get to go all over. It was so much fun, and it’s something you have to experience. When this trip was proposed to me, I thought about my friends on Instagram who had been to the Faroe Islands, and that this was going to be an opportunity to discover these landscapes that I had seen through them. My expectations for this trip where very positive from the beginning, since I have always wanted to visit the Faroe Islands. I really just had a desire to get to know the country and to learn a little about everything: the culture, nature, animals, and food as well. One of our favourite things, especially mine, was that we were able to see places that feel untouched and unspoiled. Landscapes that are pure, natural, and wild. What interested me most during the trip were the moments in which nature became sculpture. The different rocks and mountains were a photographic challenge, since they were difficult to capture in a single image. Everytime you move your position, the landscape starts to change. I was expecting a truly spectacular destination, but when you arrive it’s even more impressive than you had hoped. It is an incredible place that is truly worth exploring. The truth is that this trip has not only met our expectations, but surpassed them greatly. You’re used to seeing photos of these places, and in a photo it’s pretty, but you really have to live this experience, and feel it for yourself, and it’s a marvelous country.
