Quick Guide to Thousand Islands | Fort Henry | 1000 Islands via Gananoque

Hi There! Welcome to Tint Taste Tour. Today I’ll be taking you on a journey to Thousand Islands and Fort Henry. We
started our journey from Toronto to Gananoque by car it’s around 3 hour’s. The parking lot, the ticket office and the cruise
departure point are very close by each other. There are different kinds of
options available here to visit the Thousand Islands, for the cruise there
are 4 kinds of cruise that are available we opted for the 2.5 hour cruise because
we did not want to stop over at the Boldt Castle, Also you can do canoeing if you
like or you can rent boats. There are boat rentals as well available at this place.
There are other boat lines available as well, but we found Gananoque to be the
best, they also have food services available inside the cruise and you can
also carry your own snacks if you like as this is a long tour Thousand Islands is a group of around
1,800 islands, in the Saint Lawrence River and most of the islands are on the
border of Canada and USA the statue is overlooking St. Lawrence
River and is only visible from water this is an international bridge
connecting northern New York in USA and southeastern Ontario in Canada most of these small islands have fifth and
sixth generation family cottages, as well as there are many lavish homes around with private island owners, known as the millionaires row. if you have time
you can also stay on one of the island here There are a few rentals available on
Airbnb and there are some hotels as well for stay. the architecture of the Boldt Castle is
a sightseers paradise and it’s Romantic Legend will surely take you back in time.
This castle is located on Heart Island in USA If you want to enter the castle
or you are taking or stop at this castle you will surely need a passport if you
are not a Canadian or USA citizen seeing this tiny bridge was one of the
best part of our entire tour Apart from the boat cruise there are various other
things to do in and around Thousand Islands also for food there is an option
of BBQ tandoori in Gananoque, we tried it and the food was pretty good. From Thousand Islands we went to the historical site of Fort Henry, which is
around 30 minutes drive from Gananoque towards when driving towards Toronto. This fort was built during the war of 1812 and is now open as a
historical museum. I personally like this place it’s not very big but it’s a calm
and a beautiful place to see and look around and for the drill do not forget
