| The Faroe Islands at the European Seafood Exposition |

The sale and marketing of Faroese seafood and the Faroe Islands took off when the annual European Seafood Exposition opened on 28 April with participation of 12 Faroese exporters of seafood
To add a country of origin flavour to Faroese seafood, the delegation also counts 3 representative from the tourism trade. While the Faroese seafood exporters are familiar faces in these surroundings, with participation since the mid nineties, this is the first time the Faroe Islands tourism trade takes part.
The construction and sleek design of the Faroese pavilion is by the internationally based marketing company Sansir. The Faroese delegation is headed by the former Faroe Islands Enterprise now Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This year´s exhibitors from the Seafood industry are: Vestsalmon, Bakkafrost, Orca, JFK, Sandoy Seafood, Delta Seafood, TG Seafood, PRG, Faroe Seafood, Landshandilin, Fiskamarknaðurin, and Nevið. The tourism trade is represented by the national airline Atlantic Airways, Green Gate Incoming and Hotel Føroyar.
